Lotus scoparius, or Deerweed is hard to grow. I lose over 50% of those I've planted. When I see them thriving in the hills, it's usually stuck between rocks on a steep slope. This may explain whey I have trouble with them. They are also hard to purchase. This one was photographed on 7/18/07.
